International Connections and Cross-Cultural Engagement

International students were invited to participate in community activities in Beitou, putting into practice the idea of “local engagement without borders.” Through cross-cultural interaction, they brought fresh perspectives to the community and created meaningful learning experiences for local older adults.

From Assistants to Leaders
Students were encouraged to take the lead in designing and organizing activities. Through this process, they developed creativity, leadership, and the ability to turn ideas into practice.

Beyond the Classroom
By engaging directly with the community, students gained a deeper understanding of real health needs and learned how to apply their professional knowledge in meaningful ways. This reflects the spirit of the University Social Responsibility (USR) project, which connects academic learning with local action and community well-being.
