NTUNHS International Outstanding Students Scholarship

Eligibility:

  1. Open to new and current international Master's and Ph.D. students at National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (NTUNHS).
  2. Applicants must demonstrate excellent academic performance (e.g., GPA or published research) and good conduct records.

Application Period:

  • New Students: May to June annually.
  • Current Students: June to July annually.

Scholarship Duration:

  • Maximum of two years.
  • Recipients must reapply and meet eligibility requirements for the second year.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Master's students: 50% tuition waiver and a monthly stipend of NTD 20,000.
  • Ph.D. students: 50% tuition waiver and a monthly stipend of NTD 25,000.

Required Documents:

  1. Completed Scholarship Application Form.
  2. Academic transcript:
    • New students: Minimum GPA of 3.4 (on a 4.0 scale) or equivalent.
    • Current students: Minimum grade of 87 in the first year at NTUNHS.
  3. Proof of academic achievements or honors.
  4. Admission offer letter (for new students).
  5. Resume or biography.
  6. Study plan.
  7. Recommendation letter (for current students).
  8. Proof of research publication (if applicable).
  9. Mandarin course scores and attendance rates (for continuing applications).

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Recipients must assist in mentoring new international students.
  2. Participation in non-credit Mandarin courses is mandatory, with a minimum attendance rate of 80%.
  3. Serve as university representatives for academic activities, including online lectures or workshops with partner institutions.

Important Notes:

  • Scholarship begins upon completion of registration at NTUNHS.
  • Recipients cannot simultaneously hold a full Taiwan government scholarship.
  • Failure to meet responsibilities or maintain required performance may result in scholarship cancellation.

Result Announcement: Scholarship results will be announced by the end of July. Final decisions rest with the review committee.

NTUNHS International Student Scholarship

Eligibility:

  1. Open to all international students currently enrolled at NTUNHS.
  2. Applicants receiving scholarships from Taiwanese government organizations or participating in NTUNHS joint programs (e.g., International Montessori Master Degree Program) are not eligible.

Scholarship Details:

  • New Students: Full tuition waiver for one academic year (includes tuition and credit fees).
  • Current Students:
    • Top 20% of the class: Full tuition waiver.
    • Top 50% of the class: Partial tuition remission (students pay NTD 16,000).
    • Ph.D. students in their third year or above are evaluated separately.

Scholarship Duration:

  • Up to three years for postgraduate students.
  • Ph.D. students in their fourth year or above require additional review.

Application Timeline:

  • New Students: Submit the application along with your intention letter for enrollment.
  • Current Students: Submit the application by July 31st each year.

Required Documents:

  1. Completed Scholarship Application Form.
  2. Study Plan.
  3. Resume/Biography.
  4. Current official academic transcript.
  5. Certificate of enrollment or admission offer letter (for new students).
  6. Recommendation letter.

Duties of Recipients:

  1. Scholarships commence after arriving in Taiwan and completing registration at NTUNHS.
  2. Recipients of full Taiwanese government scholarships will lose eligibility.
  3. Participation in mandatory Mandarin courses (minimum 80% attendance) is required.
  4. Serve as volunteer mentors for new international students, assisting with tasks such as airport pickups and campus orientation.

Result Announcement: Scholarship results are announced by the end of August, and the review committee has the final decision.

NTUNHS Service Learning Scholarship

Eligibility:

  1. Open to officially enrolled international students (including foreign, overseas Chinese, Hong Kong, and Macau students) with a valid work permit.
  2. Ineligible groups include exchange students, in-service students, those with delayed graduation, or students who have received demerits.
  3. Academic Requirements:
    • Undergraduates: Minimum 6 credits per semester with an average grade of 70 or above.
    • Graduate Students: At least one course per semester with an average grade of 80 or above.
    • Students without formal course grades can use their Chinese course grades.

Required Documents:

  1. Completed scholarship application form.
  2. Latest official transcript.
  3. Autobiography.
  4. One recommendation letter from a department supervisor, professor, or work unit supervisor.
  5. Copy of a valid work permit.
  6. Optional: Resume and proof of outstanding achievements.

Application Period:

  • Twice per academic year:
    • First Period: September to October (specific dates announced by the university).
    • Second Period: February to March.

Scholarship Benefits:

  • Undergraduates: NTD 5,000 per month.
  • Graduate Students: NTD 8,000 per month.
  • Payment is issued by the middle of the following month.

Duties of Recipients:

  1. Provide service hours during the scholarship period:
    • Undergraduates: 20 hours/month.
    • Graduate Students: 30 hours/month.
  2. Engage in service-learning projects per university regulations.

Duration of Scholarship:

  • One semester (4 months) per application. Students must reapply each semester.
  • Maximum eligibility:
    • Undergraduates: 4 years.
    • Master’s Students: 2 years.
    • Ph.D. Students: 3 years.

Important Notes:

  1. Students may not receive this scholarship alongside full scholarships (e.g., Taiwanese government scholarships).
  2. Violations, such as falsified information or multiple scholarship claims, will result in termination and repayment of funds.

MOE Elite Scholarship

Eligibility

Open to university lecturers currently serving in eligible Asian countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar, India, Cambodia, Laos, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan.

Applicants must be active full-time lecturers and able to provide valid proof of employment.

Lecturers from top universities in Southeast Asian countries have higher priority for selection.

Scholarship Details

  1. Living allowance: NTD 25,000 per month (approximately USD 800), as stated on page 4.
  2. Scholarship covers full duration of study:
  • Master’s program: 2 years
  • Doctoral program: 3 years
  1. Scholarship period runs from September through August of each academic year.

Scholarship Duration

  1. Up to 2 years for master’s students.
  2. Up to 3 years for doctoral students.
  3. Award duration aligns with degree program timelines.

Application Timeline

  1. Phase I Application: October to November, with results announced in April.
